About Foxton

Foxton is a small village in South Cambridgeshire with a population of around 1,250 people. Located about 7 miles south-west of Cambridge it is served by a railway station on the main Cambridge to London King’s Cross line. It is in a rural location surrounded by farmland.

There are a number of fifteenth- and sixteenth-century houses throughout the village as well as a thirteenth-century church dedicated to St Laurence. The village also has its own primary school, pre-school, shop and post office, public house, and village hall with adjoining sports facilities.

There are a number of active groups in the village, including Foxton Gardens Association, STREAM (a charity committed to fund-raising for the local church), Foxton Singers and  the WI. On the sporting side, there is a thriving football club with multiple youth teams, a cricket club (who took part in the national village cup final at Lord’s in 2015), bowls club and tennis club.
